FREE COMMUNICATIONS
The Scientific Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts
for both oral and poster presentations.
The Organising Committee will give the following awards:
-
NCIC Award comprising a
certificate and cash prize of RM2,000 for the best oral presentation.
Five abstracts will be selected for presentation.
-
A certificate and cash prize of RM500 for the best poster
presentation. Authors who have submitted for the NCIC Award and whose
abstracts are not selected could opt for poster presentations if they so
wish.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
 | Papers to be submitted must be on intensive care related
topics. |
| No limit is imposed on the number of abstracts submitted by
individuals. |
|
Abstracts are to be submitted in English only. |
|
Abstracts must be accompanied by payment of registration
fees. If the abstract is subsequently not accepted for presentation,
and the author wishes to cancel, the registration fee will be refunded to
the author. |
|
Scheduling details and guidelines for the final preparation
of accepted presentations will be included with the notification of
acceptance. |
|
The final selection will be the responsibility of the
Scientific Committee. |
WHERE APPROPRIATE, THE ABSTRACTS SHOULD CONTAIN THE
FOLLOWING
|
A statement of the objectives of the study |
|
A description of the methods used |
|
A summary of the results obtained |
|
A statement of the conclusions reached |
ABSTRACT PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION
|
All abstracts must be submitted electronically accompanied
by a fax/email copy of the abstract submission form. |
|
Abstracts must not be more than 300 words (inclusive of
title and author(s) name). |
|
Title must be in bold capital letters at the top of the
abstract. |
|
Author(s) name and institution. Maximum of 5 authors
can be listed. |
|
Presenting author name must be underlined. |
|
Leave one line between the title / author / institution and
the body of the abstract. |
|
Text must be typed single-spaced, with only the left margin
justified. |
|
Graphs, tables and illustrations cannot be included in the
abstract. |
|
Abstract must be accompanied by the abstract registration
form. |
Important
Please email abstract and the abstract submission
form to acadmed@po.jaring.my. If
you are sending via post, please send a CD containing the abstract together with
the abstract submission form. The closing date is 15 MAY 2008.
